Well, here we go - my first blog! Not sure where this will take me, but where ever it does I am looking forward to sharing my stories and my crafts.
So, I actually started writing this just before Thanksgiving and never published it as I was not quite sure if it was ready for the world - then I updated it just after Thanksgiving and was still hesitant ..... after all, this is the beginning of the beginning - not sure if that makes sense, but oh well! Anyway, no more procrastinating - here it is.
We are in the midst of our first big snow fall for the winter. We are supposed to get about 4 inches which is not a lot considering the mid west just got about a foot ...... but still, there is nothing like pure white snow covered streets and neighborhoods, a cup of hot chocolate or better yet a café mocha from Starbucks. Not a big Starbucks fan, but this is the only one I get when I do decide to venture into a Starbucks. The kids are sure hoping for schools to close tomorrow specially since they are calling for icy conditions tonight .... for their sake I hope they get a 3 day weekend.
A local winery up in Mr. Airy - Linganore Wine Cellars was to have their holiday festival today - Christmas in the Barn, but unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the weather. Several crafters including myself was to have a table ...... all my holiday cards, tags and more - a fun afternoon of holiday shopping for that one of a kind gift, good food and wine. Disappointed, but it's ok, there is always next year. In addition to going to work everyday, the past two weeks have been nothing but crafting to get ready for the winery event - lots of late nights punching, cutting, pasting and more, and I could not have done it without my biggest supporter - Mr. Craft himself .... my one and only better half - should have taken a picture of him crimping and punching paper. Actually Dinesh helped too, only after some pleading and when that did not work, I just told him he had no choice but to help me - lol
Now it's getting ready for the holidays - house is all decorated and looking festive - Katryna will be home from college in a week and before you know it, we will be in 2014. I am kind of looking forward to all the busyness over the next three weeks - I guess you can say I am one of those crazy ones, but this is my favorite time of the year!
So, considering this is my first blog, I guess I had a lot to talk about - I think!
Well, until next time ............
